The Alcázar was built in 1364-1366 by King Pedro I of Castile. It is a World Heritage site and adjoined to the Seville Cathedral.
Bwlow is one of the courtyards.
One of the altar pieces is a painting by Alejo Fernandez entitled “The Virgin of the Navigators” where Mary is depicted watching over those who have sailed in faith.
